Golden West Resources is committed to environmental sustainability, recognising our obligations to practice good environmental "stewardship" of the tenements on which we operate.
Golden West's underlying goals relating to environmental sustainability are:
- To minimise any adverse impacts upon the environment resulting from the company's activities; and
- To offset, as much as is practicable, any deleterious impacts so that the company is able to demonstrate a net environmental benefit from its activities.
Our activities at Wiluna West are conducted in a manner that minimises our environmental "footprint" as much as possible, and are conducted strictly in accordance with all necessary permits and approvals from regulators.
We are currently undertaking progressive rehabilitation of access tracks and drill pads used during recent exploration activities. This involves removing all the "evidence" of our presence and undertaking earthworks to allow adjacent native vegetation to regrow.
